The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the Government’s independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. Their role is to register health and social care providers and to inspect whether or not standards are being met.

They then rate each service as either Inadequate, Requires Improvement, Good or Outstanding based on five core criteria, which are;

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well-lead

Liberty House was inspected under this new rating structure in April 2019 and they have been rated as OUTSTANDING overall.

According to the CQC, Liberty House achieved this rating because “Staff took a truly holistic approach to assessing, planning and delivering care and treatment to people who used the service”. During their inspection, the CQC asked clients about our services and the “Feedback from people who used the service and those who were close to them was continually positive about the way staff treated people.” They specifically emphasised that “Staff encouraged clients and family members to give feedback about the service through various routes”.

“Staff went the extra mile and the care they received exceeded their expectations. Clients felt empowered in their treatment.” (Care Quality Commission)

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it important to look for CQC qualified rehab?
Looking for a CQC (Care Quality Commission) qualified rehab is crucial because it ensures that the facility meets national standards for safety, care, and professionalism. CQC-registered rehab centres are regularly inspected to ensure they provide high-quality treatment and follow ethical practices. Choosing a CQC-qualified rehab offers peace of mind, knowing that the centre is held to rigorous standards and provides reliable care to support your recovery journey.
How should I pick the right rehab for me?
Picking the right rehab involves considering your specific needs, preferences, and treatment goals. Factors to consider include the types of therapy offered, the qualifications of the staff, the rehab’s reputation, its approach to aftercare, and whether it aligns with your personal values and comfort. It’s also important to ensure that the facility is equipped to address your particular addiction and offers a supportive, caring environment. Don’t hesitate to visit the facility or ask questions before making a decision to ensure it’s the right fit for your recovery.
Do I have a higher chance of recovery because of attending an ‘outstanding’ rehab?
Attending an ‘outstanding’ rated rehab, like Liberty House, can increase your chances of recovery, as these facilities are recognised for delivering exceptional care, treatment, and outcomes. An outstanding rating from the CQC means the rehab excels in providing a supportive environment, effective therapies, and personalised care plans. However, recovery ultimately depends on your commitment, the quality of your treatment, and your individual circumstances. An ‘outstanding’ rehab provides a solid foundation for recovery, but your active participation and dedication are key factors in your success.
