Stimulant Rehab
Stimulant addiction can feel like you’re stuck on a runaway rollercoaster – always speeding, never stopping and completely out of control. At Liberty House, we’ll help you step off, catch your breath and figure out what life feels like without the constant highs and crashes. With our team by your side, you will find steady ground again and start building a future that feels calm, hopeful and fully yours.
What is stimulant rehab?
Stimulant rehab is the name often given to professional stimulant addiction treatment. There are a great number of stimulant rehab programmes to choose from, but Liberty House offers inpatient programmes, which means you live at our residential centre while you are going through drug detox and therapy. This means you will have a safe, quiet place to leave the chaos behind and start putting the pieces back together.
Our stimulant rehab process includes three stages – detox, therapy and aftercare – and all are crucial for successful recovery.
It is our mission to make drug rehab accessible to as many people as possible, so we offer treatment of varying lengths. Whether you stay for two weeks, three months or anything in between, our team will have you feeling steady, strong and ready to take life on again.
Stimulant rehab programmes at Liberty House
Liberty House delivers effective prescription drug rehab for a wide range of stimulants, which include:
Adderall rehab
Adderall is banned in the UK, even on prescription, but many people still get it through illegal means. It can be an incredibly addictive stimulant but our rehab programme can help break even the strongest physical and psychological dependencies.

Ritalin rehab
Ritalin is often used to treat ADHD but some people take too much or use it without a prescription, hoping it will help them concentrate or stay awake. We will work with you to figure out why you started relying on Ritalin so you don’t need it any more going forward.

Focalin rehab
Focalin works a lot like Ritalin, helping with focus and attention, but it can also be highly addictive. Stimulant rehab will explore how Focalin became a daily necessity so you can permanently overcome that reliance.

Here is how the different phases of stimulant addiction treatment work:
Phase one: Stimulant detox
When you take a lot of stimulants for a long time, the chemical changes they cause can feel like your brain has forgotten how to work properly without them. This is why, if you attempt to stop suddenly, your body and mind rebel because they’re used to stimulants topping up chemicals like dopamine and serotonin. This rebellion causes withdrawal with symptoms that you might have already felt if you’ve tried to quit before.
Stimulant detox at Liberty House is designed to make this part easier. Our detox team will keep a close eye on you, make sure you’re safe and help you feel as comfortable as possible while your body adjusts.
The levels of support required depend on how your brain and body react to stimulant withdrawal. Some people need a little extra help, like medicine, to manage certain symptoms, while others just need rest, hydration and emotional support. Everyone is different, and we’ll make sure you get exactly what you need to get through this phase safely.
Stimulant withdrawal symptoms and timeline
Stimulant withdrawal usually starts about a day or two after your last dose. The toughest part hits around days three to five, and, for many, things start to feel better after the first week. Some symptoms, like trouble sleeping or mood swings, can stick around for a few weeks while your body fully adjusts but our stimulant rehab team will support you with these.
Stimulant withdrawal symptoms are a little different for everyone but some common reactions include:
- Feeling really tired and sluggish
- Depression
- Sleeping a lot or struggling to sleep
- Feeling hungrier than usual
- Craving stimulants
- Feeling anxious, on edge or easily annoyed
For most people, these symptoms are uncomfortable but manageable. However, in serious cases, stimulant withdrawal can cause:
- Deep feelings of depression or thoughts of self-harm
- Seeing or hearing things that aren’t there (hallucinations)
- Feeling extremely paranoid or aggressive
- Heart problems or seizures (though this is very rare)
These can be very dangerous if you attempt stimulant detox alone but our team will watch over you, keep you safe and help you feel as comfortable as possible.
Phase two: Stimulant rehab therapy
When people hear the word “therapy,” they might picture sitting in a cold room, being judged by a stranger. But that’s not how it works here at Liberty House. Stimulant rehab therapy isn’t about blame or shame – it’s about understanding what’s going on in your life and finding ways to change it.
In therapy, you will start to look at the big questions. Questions like:
- When did stimulants go from something small to something you couldn’t do without?
- What was happening in your life when things started to change?
- How is stimulant use holding you back now?
These aren’t easy questions, but answering them can help you handle any struggles life throws without needing stimulants.
At Liberty House, stimulant rehab therapy is not about fixing everything all at once. Instead, you will make small, steady changes that lead to big results over the course of your stay and beyond.
Stimulant rehab therapy at Liberty House Clinic
At Liberty House, we mix proven therapies with calming, creative activities to help you recover step by step. When you are living with drug addiction, even getting through a normal day can feel overwhelming. That is why we will give you a busy daily routine that is highly structured and always offers a new challenge or opportunity for breakthroughs.
Our stimulant rehab programme includes:
- One-on-one and group rehab therapy sessions
- A family support programme for your loved ones
- Creative, holistic therapies including art, sound, yoga and meditation
- Physical health therapy to heal and strengthen your body
- Behavioural and psychotherapies
With so many options, you are sure to find what works best for you. It might be a deep chat with a therapist, sessions with your family or simply learning to breathe through a tough moment. Keep an open mind – it might be the approach you least expect that does the most healing.
Phase three: Stimulant relapse prevention
When stimulant rehab ends, the next chapter begins. At Liberty House, we will help you get ready for what’s ahead so the transition from rehab to home doesn’t cause too much of a disturbance.
While you are with us, our team will help you make a simple but effective stimulant relapse prevention plan. It will map out a safe path through tricky situations, difficult people and anything else that would previously have triggered stimulant use.
To help you put this plan into practice, we offer free group therapy every week for a whole year after rehab. These sessions give you a chance to keep your recovery team involved, share how things are going and get advice when you need it.
You will also become part of our Alumni Network – a group of friendly, supportive people just like you. Our rehab graduates and staff meet up regularly, share tips and enjoy exclusive events together. It is a fun way to turn recovery into something positive you can share with others.
